Reviews

“The surprising musical star of the evening was the very young conductor (22 years old!) Riccardo Bisatti, who with the courage of unconsciousness (but also of awareness, when all is said and done) launched himself into the undertaking of conducting this 'monstrous' title. From the very first notes of the Sinfonia, one had the impression of being faced with an uncommon talent. Confidence of gesture, choice of tempi varied and always adherent to the theatrical tale, interesting dynamics and colours managed with already meditated maturity, attention to the stage and voices without a moment's weakness or uncertainty. Bravissimo.  If a good beginning bodes well, make a note of this name, we will hear about it. Moreover, not often have I heard the Orchestra dei Pomeriggi Musicali play so well.”

“Adolfo Corrado commanded the character of Leporello with a wide, rounded vocal range, beautiful colour, multiplicity of accents, incisive phrasing, stage charisma and sympathetic interpretation. It goes without saying that, as often happens with this role, if the interpreter is up to the challenge, he deservedly carried off the applause of the night at the end.”

“Very young, 22 years old, is also the conductor, Riccardo Bisatti. At this age, conducting opera takes a certain amount of recklessness; to do it this way, an even greater amount of talent. Making prophecies is the best way to get them wrong, but keep an eye on this boy, who already makes a remarkable Don Giovanni, so he has the potential to make a very remarkable one in the future. What is striking is the always light but not powdery sound of the orchestra, the authority with which the notoriously dangerous finale primo is brought home, and the beauty of certain accompaniments, with calibrated sonorities that emphasise the words”

Adolfo Corrado [...] is a bass-baritone large and big in physique and voice, used, however, with good technique, personality, taste: he is ripe for the great theatres.”

“Really interesting, lively and daring conducting from the very first bars of the overture from the young Riccardo Bisatti who, with confident gestures, knows how to get the best out of the Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali. The tempi are rightly tight, the search for clarity of sound appreciable, the reading of the score meticulous and mature, capable of giving the right weight to the relief of the characters' feelings without detracting from the lightness of the more leisurely moments.”

“Adolfo Corrado's lively Leporello is gifted with a deep voice, rich in harmonics and with good calibre. The traits of a servant as pusillanimous as he is ironic and unscrupulous, who moves on stage with great agility and good stage presence, but without drifting too much into caricature, emerge well. A confident phrasing completes the clearly positive interpretation.”

“On the podium of the I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra we are delighted to find the very young Riccardo Bisatti. With wide-ranging and energetic gestures, he conducts a Mozart that gushes with softness, transparency and fluidity, marked by elegant narrative lines, soft and polished sonorities, a refined and effective theatricality, and an iron technique. The 22-year-old maestro opts for appreciable tempi that are mostly airy and expeditious, but without being frenetic or mannered'.

“The bass Adolfo Corrado's Leporello stands out for his deep, timbral, mellow and thundering voice, with a fine dark colour and considerable tonnage, as well as for his vivacious and vivid diction and his light-hearted and sprightly interpretation: qualities that have emerged since the famous aria 'Madamina, il catalogo è questo”

“Just 22 years old, Riccardo Bisatti demonstrates an excellent background education, has a clear gesture and conducts a score that combines objective difficulty with the immense weight of responsibility, expectations and traditions [...]. The orchestra of the Pomeriggi musicali […] offers a compact and concentrated performance.”

“Adolfo Corrado is a Leporello with a beautiful full and sonorous texture that does not impede his articulation of speech, that is sharp and expressive”
